A Magical Celebration in the Hundred Acre Woods

A Magical Celebration in the Hundred Acre Woods

We recently had the joy of celebrating the impending arrival of our grandchild with a magical baby shower themed around "Vintage Winnie the Pooh." Inspired by the Hundred Acre Woods, the event was filled with delightful decorations, fun games, delicious food, and memorable moments, all in anticipation of welcoming our little one.

Venue and Decor

The venue was transformed into a charming rendition of the Hundred Acre Woods. We had a clothesline with baby clothes fluttering in the breeze, adding a cozy touch to the space.

A large "Welcome to the Baby Shower" sign, customized with the parents-to-be name, greeted guests at the entrance. The woodland-themed balloon half-arch and table top balloon trees, using earthy tones, set the scene perfectly.

Under the balloon arch was a vinyl backdrop resembled a Winnie the Pooh storybook, making for a perfect photo spot. Teddy bears were sprinkled around the area, adding to the whimsical atmosphere, and glass vases held miscellaneous items, blending functionality with decor.

Games and Activities

Our guests enjoyed several themed games, adding fun and laughter to the day.

Guess the Pooh: This hilarious game had candy bars melted into diapers. Guests had to sniff the diapers to guess the candy bar inside. The one who guessed the most "Pooh" won a customized cutting board with a cute Winnie the Pooh saying.

Don't Say Baby: Each guest received a clothes pin at the beginning of the shower. The rule was simple: don't say the word "baby." If you did, someone could steal your clothes pin. The guest with the most clothes pins at the end won another customized cutting board.

  2. Piglet's "Out of a Blanket": A deconstructed version of Pigs in a Blanket, for those who are living the Keto life. :)
  3. Winnie's Honey Cookies: Simply delicious Honey Teddy Grahams.
  4. Christopher Robin's Charcuterie Board: A selection of mixed cheeses, meats, pickled vegetables, and crackers.
  5. Owl's Egg Salad and Kanga's Chicken Salad: Served with croissant buns and Hawaiian rolls separately.

Drinks were kept simple yet refreshing with Piglet's Pink Lemonade.
